I write about the cases I can’t stop researching, the psychology behind human behavior, the culture worth questioning, and the personal experiences that change how I see the world. From courtroom scandals and true crime to motherhood, relationships, pop culture, sports, and whatever else has me thinking too hard, nothing here is limited to one niche. It’s researched when it needs to be, personal when it matters, and always unapologetically me.

I’m Trinity Barnette—a criminal justice student, writer, and chronic overthinker with a lot to say. I created Raw Reflections as a place to explore the things that keep me thinking, from law, true crime, and psychology to culture, motherhood, identity, media, and the messy realities of everyday life.
Some posts are heavily researched. Others are deeply personal. Most live somewhere in between. Whether I’m breaking down a trial, analyzing human behavior, critiquing pop culture, or writing about something happening in my own life, I bring the same thing to every piece: curiosity, honesty, and a willingness to go deeper than the surface.
After experiencing unhealthy relationships, finding someone who genuinely loves you can feel both beautiful and terrifying. From learning to trust again to recognizing self-sabotage, I’m sharing ten lessons about accepting healthy love, overcoming past relationship trauma, and learning how to love someone without losing yourself.
